Jón is the former chairman of the supervisory board of the Icelandic Central Bank, adjunct professor and MBA lecturer, a visiting scholar at Columbia University, and co-founder of four software companies.
Jón is an engineer from Denmark’s Technical University (DTU). Jón has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed papers in monetary policy economics and on cryptocurrencies and blockchains, including Journal of Applied Economics and a cover article in Proceedings of the IEEE.
